UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey adds another accolade to her incredible 2015 by gracing the cover of Men’s Fitness, Saturday. Unbeaten in the UFC, Rousey is declared the first woman EVER to be on the cover of Men’s Fitness Magazine. This Men’s Fitness edition is from Australia, coincidentally where Rousey’s next fight will take place against Holly Holm on Nov. 14, 2015.

This is a brilliant promotion for the fight, as well as Rousey’s impeccable 2015 career. Rousey is extremely influential to women everywhere. Her outlook on success proves to be beneficial in the octagon with 12 wins and 0 losses. She will have to put her skills to the test as she faces Holly Holm who also boasts an undefeated record of 9 wins and 0 losses.

The contenders in this match up both have very successful careers, although Holly Holm has the upper hand when it comes to experience. Holly has been around the UFC 5 more years than Rousey. Will a veteran in the octagon put up more of a challenge for Ronda? Hopefully this fight will get past the first round since Ronda has been known to finish her opponents in less than two minutes.

One thing is for certain, from a public relations standpoint, it must be a nightmare to be her personal assistant. We are talking about a woman who called out one of the biggest names in men’s boxing, Floyd Mayweather. This is not just a one time occurrence. Ronda is very confident in herself and believes she can beat anyone, even Floyd. She is very blunt and to the point with her opinions. During interviews and podcasts, she has the ego of Donald Trump mixed with the mouth of a sailor.

“I don’t shy away from any questions. I’m not scared of any question. I’ll give you an answer. A lot of people are scared of having actual opinions out there. People are so scared of criticism… I’m not scared of people disliking me,” Rousey said.
This is exactly why Rousey has gained so much popularity among her fans and women empowerment in general. She exemplifies everything that a woman should feel about their self esteem. She is such a great role model because she has been made fun of about her body being too manly and gross but she found that it’s the complete opposite.
When I was in school, martial arts made you a dork, and I became self-conscious that I was too masculine. I was a 16-year-old girl with ringworm and cauliflower ears. People made fun of my arms and called me ‘Miss Man.’ It wasn’t until I got older that I realized: These people are idiots. I’m fabulous,” Ronda said.
I am a full supporter of Ronda being featured on the cover of Men’s Fitness Magazine because what she is achieving right know is truly amazing. She is a powerhouse bruiser with a message and story to tell. Ronda will be one of the greatest women icons in the next few years. I do not see her streak ending anytime soon, and she most definitely will continue with success.
